Professional, educated, USASF-certified, and thoroughly committed to their athletes, their teams, and to the Crossfire Cheer program. Our coaches know what it takes to win! Coupled with the support of a fantastic parents, they provide our talented athletes the tools to make it happen. Their skill, talent, and exceptional leadership have led their teams to numerous National titles including an unprecedented National Cheersport Championship!
As the former coaches for the Carolina Crossfire (Flip City) Coach Angela and Coach Lavette together have produced teams that have won numerous awards including:
- 10 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS including the LARGEST ALLSTAR CHEERLEADING EVENT IN THE WORlD...CHEERSPORT NATIONALS!
- 8 GRAND CHAMPION AWARDS (Highest score in the competition)

Angela Koenig (formerly Singleton)
Owner/Founder/All-Star Coach
Angela Koenig was a cheerleader and has been in the cheerleading and gymnastics business for 10+ years. She served as Office Manager and Camp/Class instructor for US Cheer, was the head cheerleading coach at AC Flora High School for 6 years (leading them to the state championship 5 years, Region and Lower State Champions), and has judged numerous cheerleading competitions including the prestigious and largest competition in the world, Cheersport Nationals. Angela was also a former gymnastics instructor and all-star cheerleading coach in the Irmo and Lexington area. She was named 2004 and 2006 South Carolina Region IV Coach of the Year. Former co-owner and Head Coach for Carolina Crossfire. **Please note that: Carolina Crossfire and Carolina Crossfire Cheer are now two seperate businesses and are not associated with each other any longer. The coaches and a former partner of Carolina Crossfire (Angela) left Flip City to open their own cheer only gym! Angela is certified and credentialed with the United States Allstar Federation and AACCA Safety Certified.

Bennett Koenig
Owner/Strength and Conditioning Coach
Bennett Koenig currently serves in the US Airforce and has for the last 9 years. He attended Midlands Technical College Continuing Education Program and is a certified Personal Trainer. He has taught circuit training and spin classes to other soliders while deployed and is currently working with the Strength and Conditioning Coaches at the University of South Carolina training their athletes.

LaVette Evans
All-star Coach
LaVette Evans is a former Bowie State Cheerleader and has developed a passion for the sport that has lead to an exciting career in coaching. She has worked with many local cheer organizations and has received numerous awards for her achievements. She was also a former coach for Carolina Crossfire. Lavette is certified and credentialed with the United States Allstar Federation.

Brett Schiff
Instructor
Brett is currently a University of South Carolina Cheerleader and a member of the Georgia Allstar Open Team. He was a competitive gymnast throughout Michigan and Georgia for 8 years, and then joined Georgia Allstars when he was 14. Brett cheered 4 years under the coaching of Jamie Parrish- three at Georgia Allstars, and one at Stingray Allstars. During his high school cheerleading career, his teamed earned over 40 national first place titles, including 2 NCA championship Jackets, a Cheersport Jacket, a third place World Championship title, and 2 second place World Championships titles. This past summer he joined the Cheersport staff as a choreographer.
"I have been taught by the best and continue to learn each year. Cheerleading is my passion, and I love every aspect of it. Teaching is also a passion of mine when it involves stunting and tumbling, which is why I am glad to say I am a new coach at Carolina Crossfire Cheer."

Sam Dougherty
Sam is from Greenville, SC and is a former University of South Carolina Cheerleader. He currently competes with Carolina Allstars Open International Level 5 team.

Quintin Alverson
Instructor
Quinton is a current University of South Carolina Cheerleader and currently competes also with Carolina Allstars Open International Level 5 team.
Ebonie Calhoun
All-Star Coach
Ebonie is a native of Uniondale, New York. She began her cheerleading career in middle school at Trinity Lutheran and went on to cheer for SUNY College at Old Westbury and Hofstra University. She has coached several youth teams to include the Ft. Bliss Panthers (El Paso Price's Champs) and the Yongsan CYS Cheerleaders in Seoul, Korea. Ebonie is also in the US Army.

Nicolette Ross
Instructor
Nicolette Ross is currently a University of South Carolina Cheerleader and an Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) Instructor. She is a former Sumter High School and Carolina Crossfire cheerleader and is ACCAA Certified.
